Rev Rushing Kimball

About our PastoR

Reverend Rushing Kimball has been the pastor at Broadway since July 2023. Native to Orlando, Florida and a graduate of Lake Highland Prep, Rev. Rushing shares his excitement to serve as the pastor of Broadway United Methodist Church; a community so close to home.

Graduating from the University of North Florida with his bachelor’s degree in International Studies, he continued his education at Candler School of Theology at Emory University where he received his Master of Divinity with a certificate in religious education in May 2020. Following graduation, Rev. Rushing moved to Des Moines, Iowa to serve as the Associate Pastor of Plymouth Congregational Church; a large, open, and affirming church.

In mid-2023, Rev. Rushing was appointed to serve as the pastor of Broadway. He is excited to lead this wonderful, LGBTQIA affirming community of faith. No matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, you are always welcome here.  Currently a provisional elder in the United Methodist Church, he is excited to be in ministry with the people of Broadway and the Lake Eola Heights neighborhood in hopes of preaching and teaching God’s love. In his spare time, Rev. Rushing enjoys spending time outside, reading non-fiction books, and musical theater.
